Flipping the Switch on Corporate Dining
How we helped Microsoft lead the way with all-electric kitchens and a roadmap for global change.
Microsoft wanted to showcase its groundbreaking shift to all-electric dining at its Puget Sound headquarters—one of the first corporate facilities of its kind capable of serving 1,000+ meals per day without relying on gas. This move required more than swapping equipment: it meant collaborating with suppliers to develop new electric technologies, working with municipal governments to create updated building codes, and rethinking how large-scale dining facilities operate. Microsoft needed a compelling way to share these lessons, inspire others to follow suit, and solidify its leadership in sustainable innovation.
We partnered with Microsoft to craft a visually rich, magazine-style whitepaper that turned a technical milestone into a compelling narrative about innovation and collaboration. By working closely with culinary leads, equipment suppliers, and sustainability experts, we transformed complex details into an engaging story that highlighted the challenges, breakthroughs, and global potential of all-electric dining. The whitepaper became a vital resource for Microsoft’s partners, further positioning Microsoft as a leader in sustainable solutions and inspiring change across the corporate dining landscape. The success of this project demonstrated the power of thoughtful storytelling to drive awareness and inspire action in addressing climate goals.
